Ángel R. Núñez Marrero graduated from Biology and Industrial Microbiology from University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez, and a MSc. in Public Health Microbiology from UPR Medical Sciences Campus. He completed his PhD. in Biomedical Sciences, in 2019, from Ponce health sciences University, with focus on breast cancer genetics and tumor microenvironment dynamics. He is an Assistant Professor in the Sciences and Technology Department at Inter-American University of Puerto Rico in Barranquitas. He has 15 years of teaching experience, including online education. He also worked in Amgen Manufacturing Ltd. For 5 years. Dr. Núñez has extensive experience in developing workshops for students and STEM school teachers. At Inter Barranquitas he currently serves as the Sciences and Technology Department Coordinator. His research interests include genetic predisposition to breast and colorectal cancer as well as identifying immune markers related to antitumor tumor microenvironment. He also contributes with several bioprospecting related projects in Campus (anunez@br.inter.edu ).
